The NEW Reason You’ll Want to Stay at the Art of Animation Hotel in Disney World

Something NEW has arrived at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

You might already want to stay at this popular resort for its colorful Disney theming, LARGE Finding Nemo-inspired pool, and access to the Skyliner, but now something else might tempt you to book your stay ASAP.

Recently, we were at a Finding Nemo Family Suite within Disney’s Art of Animation Resort when we spotted something NEW in our hotel room — Hey, Disney!

The Amazon Alexa-powered service was set to hit Disney World resorts in 2022, but its rollout has been somewhat delayed. We previously saw it become available in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, but now it seems it has hit Art of Animation (at least in some rooms).

If you’re not familiar with it, this device lets you talk to a NEW character called the Disney Magical Companion. That Companion can do all kinds of things for you like set alarms, order select items for your room (like if you need extra towels), answer your questions (about things like park wait times, etc.), and even enable you to have fun with some of your favorite Disney characters.

Note that as soon as you enter the room the ⊘ button should be red, indicating that the device is muted. If you want to use it, you’ll need to press the ⊘ button to unmute the machine.

Then you’ll start requests with the words “Hey Disney.” You could hear jokes from your favorite characters, get messages from Disney characters, listen to soundscapes, and more.
