Oh, no…it’s happening. You’re standing in line and trying to make it to your next dining reservation but that’s some time away and you’re hungry NOW!

Snack time!

We’re known to ask our readers from time to time about some wide topics like which extra costs at Disney World are worth it, which are the most overrated rides at Disney World, and even the worst places to get stuck in the rain at the parks. We recently took to social media to find out what kinds of snacks you bring most often with you to Disney World, and your answers ranged fairly wide!

We were surprised at how divided this topic could be! We received lots of comments that range from something really small, to elaborate recipes. Some of you even said packing things in a park bag was just not really your Disney speed — because snacking around Disney World is half the fun, right? So we’re breaking down a few of the most popular answers you told us are snacks you bring with you to the Disney World parks.

Protein/ Granola Bars

An overwhelming majority of you like to bring some form of sustenance with you in the parks, and well, you seem to be on the right track! While staying hydrated in the parks is extremely important (and free if you’re grabbing water from quick service locations), you also need to stay nourished on those hot Florida days. We saw lots of comments about snack bars — granola and protein.

These make great snacks to pack because they’re not only individually wrapped and travel well, but they’re slim and lightweight so they don’t take up a lot of necessary bag space. They also make for a really quick eat standing in long lines and waiting for parades or fireworks and usually aren’t very messy or have a strong odor to them. And we have to say, we agree they’re certainly one that we’ve caught ourselves packing for trips out to the parks.

Goldfish

Another snack that was mentioned over and over again was Goldfish.

These bite-size cheddar cheese crackers are super fun and a travel-friendly snack. It’s not uncommon to see adults AND kids enjoying this cheesy snack. They also don’t have a huge odor or messy trail — unless you’re crumbling them on the ground — and tend to keep well within a baggy in your park bag. They’re also a very budget-friendly snack to buy in bulk!

Although these were the top two answers, it really was a stiff competition. So we wanted to throw out just a few more honorable mentions just in case you’re looking for something different.

Gummy Fruit Snacks

This one was such a close runner-up in the comments!

We saw several versions of gummy fruit snacks mentioned in the comments a few times over. Again, this snack also follows a lot of the previously mentioned reasons why they make for great snacks but what makes them different is that they’re great for when you’re craving something a little sweeter.

Crackers

So. Many. Versions. Of. Crackers! You all are passionate about this one!

Crackers come in so many types and can be easily purchased as sandwich crackers like peanut butter, cheese, etc. There are also different types like graham crackers and animal crackers that help broaden the spectrum of flavors and appeal.

Pretzels

Another one that we just couldn’t escape in the comments was pretzels.

Pretzels are so commonly used in travel snacks and are a staple ingredient to most trail mix types of combinations of snacks. They now come in more flavors than ever and can even come in different shapes, like pretzel rods, sticks, and the classic twist design. You can’t go wrong with snacks like these too.

And there you have it! These are the top snacks you told us that you’re bringing out to the Disney World parks. While there is so much food and other kinds of snacks to enjoy and discover while on vacation, having the piece of mind that you have something on hand for when you get a “rumbly in your tumbly” isn’t always a bad idea either.

We ask our readers about topics constantly on our social media sites and we want to make sure you’re part of our next discussions. Make sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest sound-off!

  1. We always bring Goldfish crackers and fruit snacks. My husband loves to stash protein bars in the bag, but yes, they always melt.

  2. Lara Bar Minis are a good snack for the parks. Just the right size for a few bites to tide you over until the next meal, sweet, but made with real ingredients. They do not melt or crumble in a purse or backpack. A number of flavors are available.

  3. Clif bars have a tendency to melt in the hot Florida sun. Quest protein bars will stay together and not fall apart even on the hottest days.
