Watch Out for 5 Attraction CLOSURES in Disney World

It’s spring in Orlando, which means that short thunderstorms in the afternoon are very common in Disney World. Because of those storms, we’ve seen lots of rides temporarily close down to keep guests safe during the bad weather. These closures usually only last until the weather clears (which is sometimes a matter of minutes), but some other closures last much longer.

A sea of ponchos

Bad weather isn’t the only reason that a ride may temporarily close in Disney World. Sometimes rides and attractions are shut down as Disney updates them and adds new elements. These closures can last for several weeks or even months. To help you prepare before your next vacation, check out this list of the closures in Disney World from April 16th through the 22nd.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Splash Mountain closed on January 23rd, and it’ll remain closed until late 2024.

Lots of scaffolding

Disney is re-theming the ride to give it a Princess and the Frog theme. When it reopens, it’ll be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. On a recent trip, we noticed that the tree stump at the top of this ride has been removed!

It’s gone!

We’ll keep an eye out for more updates.
