I Go to Disney World Every Day. Here are the Worst Things Guests Do.

Disney World is full of guests!

Cinderella Castle

From new snack spots in Magic Kingdom to genie+ prices reaching record highs to growing Spring Break crowds, Disney World is as busy as ever. That means even more guests to potentially make your next Disney vacation harder.

It’s no secret that Disney crowds can sometimes get out of hand. During the spring break season all the way to summer, crowd levels can be outrageous.

Crowds in Magic Kingdom

Unfortunately, there are still several things guests do that can make your Disney day much harder, and, as someone who is in the parks every day, I know all of the worst things Disney guests do.

Stopping In The Middle Of The Street

One thing that I consider to be one of the worst things guests can do is to stop in the middle of the street. While this might not seem that big of a deal, it really can impact the people around you.

2023 crowds!

Whether it causes a foot traffic build-up or it makes guests run into one another, it can be a real inconvenience for those around you.

If you need to figure out where you are or plan the next move of your day, step to the side. Not only will it help you feel less stressed, but it will also help the people around you!

Leaving Trash Instead Of Throwing It Away

This is one thing you might not even notice, but as someone who is in the parks every day, I definitely do. Leaving trash out instead of throwing it away is something lots of guests do without thinking. While it might not seem like a big deal since there are custodial Cast Members, it is one of the worst things guests do in my opinion.

Trash cans in EPCOT.

When guests do this, it makes the Cast Members’ jobs a bit harder. Not only that, but sometimes it can lead to other guests picking up the trash so they can use a seat or table.

Cast Members are the best!

It might not be a big deal to you, but throwing out your trash is just a way to be kinder to the Cast Members and to the people around you.

Cutting Lines

Looking to easily annoy the other guests around you? Try cutting in line! Sadly for us, this is something that our AllEars team sees a bit too frequently and we think it’s the worst!

Long lines for Mission Space.

Skipping lines (or attempting to) is one of the worst things guests can do to those around them. It’s not only rude, it can even make those behind you wait even longer in line. I get hating the long lines in Disney World (truly I do) but it’s not worth it making another guest’s day a bit harder. We all have to wait our turn.

Using Flash Photography On Dark Rides

I have seen this issue time and time again. Guests love to bring out their phones on dark rides, turn on the flash, and unfortunately, ruin the experience. I get it, you want to remember the ride or the show! However, the moment the flight light turns on, the experience is changed for the people around you.

The Haunted Mansion

While it might not seem like a big deal to those who do it, it can take people out of the immersion or the ride or even ruin a bit of the magic. (It’s a bit like when other people quote the dialogue of the ride.) While I get wanting to preserve your memories, in the future, just make sure your flash is turned off, and everyone will win!

Don’t forget this part of planning your next Disney World trip

Being Rude To Cast Members

Finally, in my opinion, this is the worst in the book. The other things I’ve listed so far could easily be a mistake if you don’t get to go to Disney World a lot, this thing is a choice guests make. Being rude to Cast Members is hands down the worst thing guests do.

TRON Cast Members

Cast Members are the heart and soul of the Disney Company. Any special magical moment? I’d bet a Cast Member is responsible for it! I get it though, Cast Members have bad days too and aren’t always as magical as you might think they should be.

We love Cast Members!

While they might not be perfect all of the time, it is important to remember to be kind! Every time I have been kind to a Cast Member, they have also been kind to me. I promise it makes everyone’s day better! So always remember to be kind.

  1. I agree with all of this. I can’t understand someone’s thinking when they stop in the middle of a walkway. I guess it’s the mentality of today’s, “It’s all about me.” Trash? People are just too lazy to properly dispose of their trash. I remember seeing a mom throw a chewed on corn cob to the ground to see if a bird would eat it. Then, she and her clan left. Flash photos? I think EVERY person knows flash photos on a dark ride bothers everyone. Once again, “It’s all about me.” In fact, if you think about it. Everything listed has to do with guests who think they have the right to do whatever they want without a concern to others.

  2. Stopping in the middle of the street is only half of it.
It’s when a group of 6 or 8 form a circle and camp out right in the middle of the walkway and seem oblivious to the hundreds of other guests that are trying to get by!
Sometimes, a large group will completely block a walkway making it impossible for anything larger than a mouse to get through.
