Okay, Star Wars fans, we’ve got some exciting news for you!

If you can’t get enough of The Mandalorian, and you’re already pumped about the new series coming to Disney+ that include Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew, and The Acolyte…then you’ll want to buckle up. We’re about to get MORE Star Wars content!
At Star Wars Celebration, it was just announced that three NEW Star Wars movies are in the works! Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy made the announcement, sharing that the three films will be directed by James Mangold (Logan, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Ahsoka), and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel, Saving Face).

The three movies will be set at completely different times, with James Mangold’s movie going back to the dawn of the Jedi.

Dave Filoni’s film will fall during a time period with which the director is very familiar — the New Republic. It will close out the interconnected stories told by The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and other Disney+ series.
According to IGN, Finoli’s film will take place after Return of the Jedi but before The Force Awakens.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s film will be set after the events of Rise of Skywalker. In the film, Daisy Ridley will return to reprise her role as Rey as the character attempts to start a new Jedi order.

We’re excited to learn more about these movies.
