Disney World can be a stressful place.

The Florida heat can be stifling, the crowds are no joke, and the most popular rides will sometimes break down right in the middle of your carefully laid plans. So, it’s important to have some ways to de-stress while you’re enjoying your Disney vacation. That’s why we love a ride that allows us to sit back and relax! So, we asked our readers what they thought the most RELAXING rides in Magic Kingdom are. Let’s take a look!
There were quite a few responses, but one ride was the clear winner in this poll, and you’ll find it in Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
It’s no secret that we love the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. You might be thinking that this is a boring way to spend your time in Magic Kingdom, but trust us — it’s worth the ride!

This highway in the sky has a lot to offer. Not only is this wait time on this ride usually very short — it’s not uncommon for this to only be 5-20 minutes — it’s SO relaxing. Sit back and relax as you are taken on a trip with great views of Cinderella Castle, the inside of Space Mountain, and now — the new TRON Lightcycle Run!

For about 10 minutes, you get to decompress as you are carted around Tomorrowland. Sign us up!
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
The next ride on our list is also in Tomorrowland — Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, one of the oldest attractions in Disney World.

In this attraction, guests sit in a rotating theater while an audio-animatronic stage show illustrates the progression of time. For 20 minutes, you’ll get to sit in an air-conditioned theater with cushioned seats while you listen to the iconic song “Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.”

Throughout the show, you’ll follow along with a family as they change with modern inventions. There’s rarely a long wait, and you’ll get to see a part of history while you cool off! Sounds like a good deal.
Walt Disney World Railroad
Another way you get to relax as you take in some scenery is to hop aboard the Walt Disney World Railroad. This old-fashioned steam train is a great way to see Magic Kindom the way Walt would enjoy.

With stations located in Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Main Street U.S.A, you’ll be able to take a full trip for about 20 minutes — or just hop from one section of the park to another! You’ll also be able to see some of the construction on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
“it’s a small world”
This might be an unpopular opinion, but “it’s a small world” can be a great place to relax in Magic Kingdom. While some might not be fans of the song, this ride is a whimsical, relaxing boat ride where you’ll glide along the water as you are introduced to dolls from around the world.

For about 10 minutes, you’ll pass by audio-animatronic dolls from Europe, Asia, Africa, Central/South America, and South Pacific Islands, as well as charming flowers and scenery themed after each location.

And don’t forget to pay attention at the end — for the goodbye scene, you might spot your name on the screen! The ride picks up your info from your MagicBand, so you might just find a personalized message.
Peter Pan’s Flight
While this might not always be the best option to relax (it can often have a long line), Peter Pan’s Flight is a cool, dark ride where you sail over Neverland on a suspended pirate ship.

For almost 3 minutes, you’ll get to soar through the skies, watching beautiful scenes crafted with black lights and fiber optics.

If you notice that this opening day attraction happens to have a short wait — check it out! Even the queue has an interactive tour of the Darling house, so this might be a fun, low-stress way to spend some time.
Liberty Square Riverboat
Lastly, we can’t forget the Liberty Square Riverboat, an authentic steam-powered sternwheeler. This gentle 20-minute ride is a great way to take a step back from the bustle of Magic Kingdom.

You’ll take a cruise around the Rivers of America where you’ll see beautiful views of Haunted Mansion, Tom Sawyer Island, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. If you’re looking for a relaxing way to get away from the crowds, you can’t beat this calm boat ride.
While Magic Kingdom can be a hectic place, there are quite a few places to find some relaxation. Just make sure you take some time to enjoy them!

I would add Tom Sawyer Island as well. Quiet place to take a walk and its usually uncrowded.
