Chris Evans “Doesn’t Quite Feel Right” About Returning to Marvel

Variety shared some thoughts from Chris Evans on a potential return to the Captain America role and we wanted to share that with you.

Fans have been excited about Chris Evans’ potential return as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America since his departure from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Avengers: Endgame.” At the moment, his return remains uncertain.

Variety shared that during a panel at the C2E2 fan convention in Chicago, Evans expressed his reluctance to revisit the role at this time. Evans said,  “I think there’s more Steve Rogers stories tell, sure. But at the same time, I’m very, very precious with it… it’s like this little shiny thing that I have that I love so much, and I just don’t want to mess up in any way, and I was a part of something that was so special for the special period of time and in a way, it really landed so well.”

Captain America – The Avengers

Evans played Captain America for eight years, from “Captain America: The First Avenger” in 2011 to “Endgame” in 2019, before passing the shield to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson/Falcon.
