CHANGES Hit the Moana Attraction Coming to EPCOT

We’ve got some fun construction updates for you, AllEars friends!

EPCOT

EPCOT has tons of construction going on as the park is going through a huge transformation and has been for quite a while. One of the new things coming to the park soon is a Moana-themed walk-through attraction called Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. We’ve been watching the construction developments here for a while, and now we’ve got some updates!

The whole attraction is really coming to life now because more of the paving nearby appears to have been completed!

An overview

Recently, a new walkway between World Celebration and World Nature — essentially between Spaceship Earth and The Seas With Nemo and Friends — has opened up. That path can help connect the two spaces a bit better, and it just so happens to go right past some of the Moana attraction construction.

The paving between the walls is done

As you’re walking along this pathway, you’ll also notice that there is now a series of walls that block guests from seeing some of the things that will help the Journey of Water attraction come to life.

Paving inside the attraction is coming along too!

Paving inside the attraction also looks like it’s making great progress, which is incredibly exciting. It just looks like there are a few more spots that need to be filled, likely after any wires/pipes or other elements are laid.

So close to completion

Just look at how much more put together this section looks compared to just a few months before. You can see that beautiful rock feature to the left with the Moana symbol on it, what could be a desk or Cast Member stand closer to the front, lots of pathways and railings, light fixtures, and planter areas that we expect will be full of beautiful foliage soon.

WOW!

This walk-through attraction is set to open in the fall of 2023, and we’re really looking forward to being able to experience it ourselves for the first time. Be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
