We are sad to report the passing of Rolly Crump.

According to the LA Times, Crump’s son said he passed away in his home in Carlsbad on Sunday, March 12th where he was in hospice care. He was 93 years old at the time of his passing.
Rolly Crump was a Disney legend most known for his work in creating Disneyland and quickly became one of the most important artists to work for The Walt Disney Company.

At the age of 22, Crump had his big break with the company when he was working in the animation department. He later joined Walt Disney Imagineering (or WED Enterprises as it was called in 1959) where he worked on iconic attractions like the Haunted Mansion, “it’s a small world”, and more.

Our thoughts are with Crump’s family and loved ones at this time.
Sad to hear. He was a cool creative guy, My condolences to his family.
There are so few left who actually worked directly with Walt Disney. Time marches on.
