When it comes to amazing spectacles, can anything beat a Disney World fireworks show?

Right now, in Magic Kingdom, the nighttime fireworks show is Disney Enchantment, but that show will be going away soon with the end of Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration this month. In its place, the highly popular Happily Ever After will return with some updates. Now, Disney has announced potential testing for fireworks — that COULD be for that updated returning show!
Disney World has announced that it will be doing fireworks testing TONIGHT, March 9th, between 11PM and 2AM. Disney also offered an apology to neighbors and guests who might be disturbed by the noise from the late testing.

Now we don’t know FOR SURE that this testing will be for the new version of Happily Ever After, but as that show will return on April 3rd, it certainly makes sense that testing for the show would begin now, just a month ahead of its debut.

The new version of Happily Ever After will feature new projections down Main Street, U.S.A., which was a feature introduced in Disney World with Disney Enchantment. Disney hasn’t said what else about the show might have changed, but we can’t wait to see it!

Note that park pass reservations for Magic Kingdom are completely gone for April 3rd and 4th, so if you were hoping to catch the first nights of the new Happily Ever After, you’re out of luck. This is already going to be a super busy season for Disney World, so if you do want to catch Happily Ever After during an upcoming trip, get those park pass reservations made ASAP.

If you’re hoping to watch Disney Enchantment before it goes away, here are all the best spots in Magic Kingdom to watch the show. We think these might also be some of the best spots to watch the updated Happily Ever After, too.
