Spring will be here before we know it, and that means a stacked lineup of events happening all around Disney World!

Whether you’ve already got a visit planned or are thinking about being a little spontaneous, we’ve rounded up the most important dates you might need to know for your March Disney World trip.
March 1st: Buffet Returns to Chef Mickey’s
An important dining change happens in March — after featuring family-style service since the parks and resorts reopened, Chef Mickey’s will return to buffet service on March 1st.

Breakfast will still have your favorite friendly character faces like Mickey, Minnie, and more, but you’ll have to go up and get your food like back in the olden days (kidding, of course!).

March 1st: EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival Starts
Get ready for an explosion of color and flora at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival! It kicks off on March 1st and lasts through July 5th — that’s right, four glorious months of festival foods, entertainment, merchandise, and those gorgeous topiaries.

We’ll be bringing you full coverage from the first day of the festival, including the dishes you simply cannot skip! Make sure you stay tuned so you know what to check out and what to pass on when you visit.

March 3rd: Tickets Go on Sale for EPCOT After Hours
EPCOT is the latest Disney park to get the After Hours treatment. Disney announced that starting June 1st, guests with separate tickets can experience this park after dark!

But, tickets go on sale starting March 3rd! Prices range $129-$139 for adults per night depending on when you’ll be visiting. DVC Members and Annual Passholders can get discounted tickets!

March 11th: Concierge Lounge Closing at BoardWalk Inn
Disney has announced that the Concierge Lounge at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn will be CLOSED for refurbishment starting March 11th. It will remain closed through the end of April.

During that time, you might hear some refurbishment work going on during the day. But Disney has indicated that any refurbishment that takes place at night should not be audible from the guest rooms.

March 12th: Fantasmic! Showtime Change
Right now, you can catch Fantasmic! at 8PM and 9:30PM. However, starting on March 12th, those showtimes will change — you’ll be able to catch the show at 8:30PM and 10PM.

On April 2nd, the show returns to one time per day at 8:30PM. If you’re trying to catch this epic show, make sure you check the My Disney Experience app on the date of your visit for the most up-to-date information!

March 16th: Minnie’s Springtime Dine Starts
Minnie’s Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine changes several times throughout the year, and March 16th brings Minnie’s Springtime Dine back!

The event will last until May 24th, and then Minnie’s Summertime Dine starts on May 25th. We’ll be at both events, so make sure you stay tuned for more.

March 17th: Saint Patrick’s Day
While Disney World hasn’t announced anything for Saint Patrick’s Day just yet this year, we typically see a ton of festive and exclusive treats hit the parks and resorts.

And, over at Disney Springs, Raglan Road is hosting its annual Mighty St. Patrick’s Day Festival again this year and the festival will run from March 16th through March 19th.

March 20th: Free Genie+ PhotoPass Downloads
Disney announced that anyone who buys Genie+ will also get complimentary PhotoPass photos taken at attractions. That means if you like that family photo of your group on Dinosaur, it will be included (as long as you bought Genie+). It all kicks off on March 20th!

And, beginning March 20th, Passholders will get free access to Disney PhotoPass lenses. These AR lenses are typically available for those who buy Genie+. Passholders will also get ONE complimentary Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories experience. With this experience, you get to virtually transform Cinderella castle with your photos.

March 23rd: Roundup Rodeo BBQ Opens
Are you ready for some barbecue?! The newest table service restaurant is opening in Hollywood Studios soon. Roundup Rodeo BBQ officially opens on March 23rd, and we can’t wait to be transported to Andy’s backyard from Toy Story!

Disney has said that Roundup Rodeo BBQ will serve “barbecue-inspired comfort foods served family-style, with platters of house-smoked meats, a roundup of sides, and some miniature sweet surprises along the way.” Check out the full menus below!

March 27th: Last Day to Book Dining Promo Card
The Dining Promo Card is Disney’s current answer to the lack of Dining Plan, and if you’re trying to take advantage of this deal, you’ll need to book by March 27th!

The Dining Promo Card gives guests booking certain vacation packages a pre-loaded card with funds to use across a variety of food service locations. The amount you receive after booking your trip depends on how many nights you booked, which dates you’ll be visiting, and which resort you stay in.

March 31st: 50th Anniversary Celebration Ends
After quite a long celebration, Disney World’s 50th anniversary is coming to an end on March 31st. We’ve seen stellar entertainment, delicious (and questionable) snacks, and an entire castle makeover.
