When it comes to Genie+, it seems some Disney guests love it, while others hate it.
Genie+ allows guests to skip the standby lines at attractions and access the shorter Lightning Lane lines. However, as it is a paid service — with pricing dependent on the day you visit the parks — many guests feel it isn’t comparable to the previous FastPass+, which was free. So with tiered pricing and trying to weed out people who may not be able to afford that extra expenditure Disney has introduced a system that is less equitable to some people even though everyone in the park have paid the same price for access to the park. At least the old system was fair and was a first come first serve and you only benefited if you were better educated about the system and its inner workings but at least everyone had equal access as long as you stayed on property.
