Disney+ has countless movies and TV shows on its platform, and just like other services, not every show gets to have numerous seasons. It’s just been announced that two popular Disney+ series have now been canceled.

Variety has reported that Disney+ has now canceled two series: Big Shot and The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.

Big Shot followed a “men’s basketball coach whose temperamental nature has him ousted from the NCAA and ends up coaching girls at an elite private high school.” It got two seasons, but has now been canceled before the third.

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers was a follow-up to the 1992 film. The series followed the Mighty Ducks, now “an ultra-competitive youth hockey team.” When Evan Morrow is cut from the team, he and his mom “set out to build their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of youth sports” and discover playing for the love of the game along the way.

  1. They must NOT have been too popular to be cancelled, or its the start of the streaming cost cuts to save money. I have not watched either series, but there are plenty of other shows that are fantastic to watch on Disney Plus that I hope they keep making.
