Why is this toy so important? In 1934, Joshua Lionel Cowen and Walt Disney teamed up to create a train toy featuring Mickey Mouse. The toy train went on to sale 250,000 pieces, which helped save Lionel’s company during the Great Depression.

No way I will be buying since I’m not at this moment a D23 member, and it seems there is no way to even find out the price of the item without FIRST becoming a D23 member. I’m not joining just to find out a price behind a membership paywall. Having no idea if the Handcar is $400, $600, $1500,(the standard one that can be ordered form any Lionel dealer is $200) I refuse to join just to find out.
