VIDEO: Inside Look at the NEW Moana Attraction Coming to EPCOT

There’s no doubt the most impressive part of the new Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana attraction is the planned Te Fiti sculpture.

Te Fiti model at D23 Expo

We saw this model last year during the D23 Expo, and Disney stated the finished version would stand 16-feet tall!

Re-creating the iconic goddess from Moana was not going to be a small feat. We’ve been keeping up on construction based on what we can see each time we visit EPCOT, but now Disney is giving us an inside look on the entire process!

I spy Te Fiti!

Journey of Water will take us through the entire water cycle, and Te Fiti, being the goddess of water, is the center piece to the entire walk-through! Disney engineers are giving us a sneak peek at the attraction almost a year head of its official opening.

They released a video detailing the creation of the Te Fiti sculpture, showing us just how much time and effort went into creating such an incredible structure.

Disney engineers managed to re-create Te Fiti down to each flower — she really looks like she just emerged straight from the movie! They’ve been working on this design for years, and it shows in the final result.

From Good Morning America

We can’t wait to see her and the rest of the new attraction when Journey of Water opens later this year! Stay tuned to our site for more updates and a first look when this attraction premieres in EPCOT.
