If you’re planning a Disney World trip, you have some great hotel options.

Disney has all kinds of hotels, so there’s something for every style and budget. And fans sure are divided on which one is best. That’s why we asked you, our readers, to weigh in — and five THOUSAND of you had thoughts. Let’s see which resort came out on top!
Over on Facebook, we asked, “What Disney World Hotel would you genuinely recommend?” There were so many responses, we’re going to break them down by category for you. First, let’s look at Deluxe Resorts.
Deluxe Resorts
This category had the most votes by far — and it makes sense, these hotels are deluxe for a reason! While they are the most expensive, they are arguably the nicest on property and are packed with amenities. The resorts that really stood out among readers were Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Yacht and Beach Clubs.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is stunning and does an amazing job of transporting you to the South Pacific. The location is a huge draw — it’s a monorail resort and only two stops from the Magic Kingdom.
This resort also has some of our readers’ favorite dining locations, like ‘Ohana and Kona Cafe.

The Polynesian also has a volcano-themed pool and sandy beach, so all you need is to grab a Dole Whip from Pineapple Lanai and you’ll truly feel like you’re on vacation.
While technically two separate resorts, Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort are sister resorts that share a standout pool.

Stormalong Bay is an outdoor recreation area with a sand-bottom pool, a lazy river, and a pirate ship slide.

These resorts have a prime location — they’re within walking distance to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and they’re near a Skyliner stop!

Readers also really enjoyed that you can see the EPCOT fireworks from the pier and the boat transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
Moderate Resorts
These resorts offer mid-level amenities at mid-level prices, have a fair amount of space, and have more dining options than Value Resorts. For this category, there was a clear winner: Port Orleans French Quarter.

For a moderate resort, the theming here is incredible. And how can you forget the Mickey Beignets?!

At this resort, you’ll even be able to take a scenic boat to Disney Springs.

Many enjoyed the smaller feel of this resort and felt that there were plenty of serene areas to get some relaxation during the otherwise packed Disney trip.
Value Resorts
Disney’s Value Resorts are the most affordable option on the list. For this category, there were 2 that stood out to a lot of our readers: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century.

Art of Animation is a great place for theming if you’re bringing your family. Here you’ll find standard rooms themed after The Little Mermaid, and family suite rooms themed after Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars. There are also three themed pools: The Big Blue Pool, Cozy Cone Pool, and Flippin Fins Pool.

Pop Century also has a ton of theming. Here you’ll find buildings styled after the decades, ranging from the ’50s to the ’90s.

There are also three pools here: the Hippy Dippy Pool, Computer Pool, and Bowling Pool.

Both of these resorts have the added benefit of a great transportation option — Disney’s Skyliner, all for the price of a Value Resort!
No matter what style you prefer, Disney has tons of options for you to create the vacation of your dreams. But if staying on property isn’t your thing, there are plenty of off-property hotels to choose from. You can find out what option is best for you here.

Which Disney Resort hotel is YOUR favorite? Let us know in the comments!
We have stayed at Polynesian twice. It is my favorite, probably because Adventureland is my favorite place in the Magic Kingdom. I asked to be near the main building and cast members took care of us. We were near the Marina and Trader Sams. Always beautiful.
Grand Floridian for magic kingdom and Animal Kingdom visits , then over to yacht club for Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Our favorite is the Grand.
Beach Club.
