When you think of the holidays in Disney World, there’s probably one big thing that comes to mind — the crowds.

And, while those crowds can sometimes be huge (or they might sometimes surprise you!) there is so much more to Christmas Day in Disney World. We’ve got special treats, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, and Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. But, instead of just hearing about the holidays from us, we turned to some very special people to learn more about what it’s like in Disney World on Christmas Day!
We asked several Cast Members in Disney World for their thoughts on what it’s like to spend Christmas Day in Disney World. Warning: have tissues handy because these responses might just give you ALL the feels.
According to some Cast Members we spoke to in Magic Kingdom, the most magical part of working on Christmas is meeting all the guests. And guests tend to be in a good mood on Christmas Day, which can make everyone else feel happier too.

But wait, there’s more! We really loved this response, too from Cast Member Davis. This one might make you tear up, so grab those tissues now.

Keep those tissues handy because we’ve got another one. Cast Member Erik spoke to us about spending Christmas with family — including your work family and new people you meet!

Cast Member Ole shared that seeing people come together is really what makes working in Disney World on Christmas special, and we completely agree.

Cast Member Toby chimed in too, sharing that there’s no better place to work on Christmas Day than the Christmas Store — and we can’t really fight with that logic!

A HUGE thank you to all of the Cast Members who took the time to speak with us today — we loved hearing your stories. And a massive thank you to every single Cast Member at all of the Disney parks around the world that are working on this holiday and others — you all are the magic. Your work in creating memories for others is something that those guests will remember for a lifetime. We are so thankful for all of the amazing things you do in the parks so thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts here at AllEars for doing what you do.
If you see a Cast Member in the parks today, on a holiday, or any day, don’t forget to give them a smile and a “thank you” — you never know how much magic you’ll be able to make for them!

Last Christmas my family went to Disney World and we handed out Christmas cards to the Cast Members. That was a lot of fun and I am so thankful that they helped us have such a great Christmas.
