The time has FINALLY come, people!
After being closed for four years, the Walt Disney World Railroad is officially reopening in Magic Kingdom! This beloved attraction has been unavailable due to construction on TRON Lightcycle Run. Disney recently shared that the train would reopen this winter, but now we’ve got a HUGE UPDATE.
The Walt Disney World Railroad has officially reopened! We got this announcement directly from John, the proprietor for Main Street operations. We are so excited to finally be able to enjoy this iconic Magic Kingdom attraction once again!
What a great way to celebrate the holiday season in Disney World with a ride on the railroad. Note that during its closure, some changes have been made at the Railroad — there are refreshed tracks, revamped “sounds and voices” (a.k.a. refreshed narration) on the train, and more.
The new narrator is meant to be someone who “grew up on Main Street, U.S.A., dreaming of the day they’d be on the railroad.” The narrator has now achieved their dreams and learned lots about Magic Kingdom to share with you!
