The Crowds in Disney World Right Now Are NO JOKE

Christmas is in ONE WEEK everyone! Sound the alarms!

Magic Kingdom Christmas Tree

There’s a lot happening this holiday season in Disney World, and we’ve been expecting crowds to be pretty heavy this week considering Disney just had to add MORE park passes for Christmas week. But what do crowds look like the weekend before Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? We headed into the parks to find out!

Magic Kingdom

In Magic Kingdom, things were definitely BUSY!

Main Street USA

Just look at how packed Main Street, U.S.A. was. Closer to Cinderella Castle, things didn’t disperse too much either.

Lots of people

We headed into Tomorrowland to see how crowds were there, and let’s just say, the entirety of Magic Kingdom was hopping this weekend.

Hollywood Studios

Surprisingly, Hollywood Studios didn’t seem more busy than normal from what we saw!

Hollywood Studios crowds

The popular lands like Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge were busy at times, but nothing we’re not used to.

EPCOT

While EPCOT didn’t look too busy from the front of the park…

Not a huge line for Spaceship Earth

…the BACK of the park, all over World Showcase, was where the crowds were gathered.

Very people-y

This makes sense, since the Festival of the Holidays is going on and a lot of the booths are in World Showcase, so if you’re looking to explore the festival, beware!

Remy’s Lightning Lane was VERY backed up

But the good news is that some of the rides at the front of the park weren’t getting much attention, which means shorter wait times.

Animal Kingdom

It didn’t totally surprise us that Animal Kingdom wasn’t super busy — even during busier times, this park seems to have the most room.

Walking towards the Tree of Life

Our reporter noted that while wait times were pretty average, walking around the park felt pretty quiet.

Look at all that space!

Pandora was busy, like usual, but other areas of the park allowed plenty of room to spread out.

Heading towards Expedition Everest

And that’s what crowds look like this weekend! Now, this will likely NOT be the case next weekend for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as we’re expecting all of the parks (especially Magic Kingdom) to be PACKED. Expect long wait times and look into buying Disney Genie+ if you think long ride queues are going to damper your vacation.
