One of the most fun times to go to Disney World is during the holiday season.

The parks are decorated, the giant Christmas trees are up, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is underway, and holiday snacks are everywhere. But if you’re planning a trip to Disney World soon, there’s something you need to know.
You may know that you cannot go to any Disney World park without a valid ticket, AS WELL AS a park pass reservation. Park pass reservations, though, are limited, and once a park is full, you can no longer get a reservation for that park.

So if you’re planning on visiting Disney World soon, you’ll need to buy those tickets, but you’ll also need to check for park pass reservations for the days you wish to visit. Although you might expect days like Christmas and New Year’s Eve to be out of park pass reservations, it might surprise you to know that other days are also full for some parks.

Here’s what we’re seeing right now. Park pass reservations are completely gone for December 5th for Magic Kingdom for theme park ticket and resort guests.

Likewise, December 19th, 21st, and 24th through 25th are also full for Magic Kingdom.

Disney World is even fuller after that: December 26th through 30th no longer has reservations available for two parks: Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Right now, there’s only one park available for December 31st and that’s Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The good news is that if you’re planning a trip in January, all days are currently available for all four parks.

So before you book that trip, make sure that the parks are available for the days you plan on being in Disney World and book those park pass reservations ASAP— it would be a nasty surprise if you arrived in Disney World only to not be able to visit any parks!
If you haven’t already booked those advance dining reservations, you’ll want to get on that, too. Since you’re already less than 60 days out, it’s likely that some of the restaurants you’ll want to get into are already completely booked up. However, that’s not to say that you might not be able to dine where you want through the Mobile Dine Walk-Up Waitlist.

Great info as usual! Question about the park reservations. MK is full on days I’m there in late December, however if I have the park hopper option for my tickets will I be able to access MK after visiting the other park I have a reservation for first?
