It’s a week away from Thanksgiving! Every family has their own traditions, whether that’s your grandmother’s special pumpkin pie or watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

A delicious Thanksgiving meal at Trattoria al Forno!

One thing that many families share is dressing up for the big day. This is a great chance to wear some of the nicer items in your wardrobe that haven’t gotten much use yet!

If it’s been a while and you aren’t quite sure how to put together an outfit, we got you. Here are some ways you can take some inspiration from Disney to make an outfit worthy of Thanksgiving dinner!

Fantasmic!

Now that popular nighttime spectacular Fantasmic! is back, you might be wanting to celebrate, even if you can’t get to the park to see it. Instead, get inspired by Sorcerer Mickey’s iconic outfit and use those colors and prints to help you put together a look!

Here we chose a stunning red tulle dress that’s covered in sparkles as the focal point of the look. A vibrant blue headband serves as Mickey’s hat, and we used gold jewelry to mimic the celestial print. Stick to a neutral shoe, and your dazzling outfit is complete!

Black Panther

Another timely look, this outfit is inspired by the sequel to Black Panther. Here the dress is also the standout piece: this printed mini dress has gorgeous contrasting colors in warm fall shades, perfect for this holiday.

To keep focus on the dress, accessories should stay in the same color scheme so as not to detract. We picked black heels but if you’re more comfortable in flats or wedges you can stick to your favorite black pair. The jewelry here mimics the kind of pieces you would see Okoye or Shuri wear. We finished off the outfit with a matching purse in a similar print!

Comfy and Cozy

Not every family sticks to a formal dress code for Thanksgiving. If you know dinner is going to be a more casual affair, you can be both cute AND comfy! This look is inspired by a cozy icon, Winnie the Pooh. We picked items that matched his classic warm color palette.

Honey yellow leggings and a matching red top are the quintessential Pooh bear combo. Plus, stretchy clothes means no discomfort when you are ready to get that third serving of mac and cheese! This look really can be combined with any shoes you like; here, we picked these fluffy sandals and paired with an adorable set of Pooh socks.

A Frozen Look

Looking more towards winter? Try dressing like Anna from the original Frozen movie, when she’s traveling to find Elsa after the disastrous coronation ball. Start off with a black top and then add a cobalt blue skirt to get the base of Anna’s dress.

To pull in the magenta of Anna’s cloak, throw on a scarf in the same color. A pair of black boots are the last part of the outfit, and if you live somewhere cold you can also put on some matching black tights. We also couldn’t resist adding these cute reindeer earrings with the perfect color blue stone in the center! Sven would definitely approve.

Groovy Like Kuzco

Boom, baby! Emperor Kuzco didn’t only have rhythm, he also had style. Take a cue from this fashion icon by wearing a dress in a brick-red shade like this sweet dress with flutter sleeves and Swiss Dots across the fabric.

Add a gold bib necklace just like Kuzco’s and some matching gold bangles so everyone knows who the real diva at the dinner table is. Don’t forget his signature teal earrings! Because he lives somewhere warm Kuzco usually wears sandals, but if your Thanksgiving day will be cold you can wear some neutral boots to keep your dancing feet warm.

With these outfits, you’ll enjoy your Thanksgiving day so much more, and have fun looking back on pictures of this holiday and remembering how good you felt in your clothes!
