Let’s take a look at what you need to know about renewing your Disney World Annual Pass.

Disney World paused sales of its Annual Passes shortly after introducing a brand-new tiered system in September 2021, and many guests were left confused about what that meant for current passholder renewals.

But Disney was quick to assure that the suspension of new pass sales wouldn’t affect renewals, and that’s still the case — although it was just announced that Annual Pass prices will be increasing soon.

There are currently four Disney World Annual Passes — the Pixie Dust Pass, Pirate Pass, Sorcerer Pass, and Incredi-Pass. Each has its own set of perks, but right now only the Pixie Dust Pass is available for purchase — and it’s also only available to Florida Residents.

No matter which Annual Pass Tier you currently have, you are able to renew. This can be done up to 60 days before or up to 30 days after your passes expire online or by calling (407) 560-PASS, at any Disney World ticket window, or at Guest Relations in the parks and resorts.

Keep in mind that each Annual Passholder does not have to be present to renew, but they will need to be present to pick up their renewed pass from the ticket window.

Annual Passholders also have the option of renewing into a higher pass tier if they’d like! For example, if you currently hold a Pirate Pass, when your renewal window time comes you have the option to upgrade to a Sorcerer or Incredi-Pass — even though they’re not currently for sale.

Additionally, Florida Residents could purchase a new Pixie Dust Pass and then upgrade to a higher pass tier once their renewal window rolls around. So, you could purchase the Pixie Dust Pass now and then upgrade to any other pass tier once you get that renewal notice.

Don’t forget that Annual Passholders are still required to make a Park Pass Reservation for the park and the date that they plan to visit. Passholders are limited in the number of park reservations they can hold at any one time. The limits are:

    • Disney Incredi-Pass: Up to 5 Park Pass reservations
    • Disney Sorcerer Pass: Up to 5 Park Pass reservations
    • Disney Pirate Pass: Up to 4 Park Pass reservations
    • Disney Pixie Dust Pass: Up to 3 Park Pass reservations
