Currently, the counties where Disney World is located are under tropical storm warning, with high winds and rain expected later this week. Ahead of the storm’s arrival, Disney World has announced several closures across the resort. However, soon after the announcement, several of those closures were quietly erased from the website.

At 9AM this morning, Disney shared the following update that Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds, along with several other resort areas, would be closing ahead of the storm.

However, soon after, that notice was removed from the website. When we reached out to a Cast Member to see if Fort Wilderness was still closed, we were told they expect it would “operate normally.”

So, as of now, these hotel closures seem to have been canceled. However, that could change as we get closer to the storm. However, several closures that were announced remain in effect. Typhoon Lagoon Water ParkWinter Summerland Mini GolfFantasia Gardens, and Fantasia Gardens will all be temporarily closed due to the impending storm.

Disney World theme parks shut down for Hurricane Ian earlier this year, and we could see the same happen if Subtropical Storm Nicole poses a significant threat to guest and employee safety. To learn more about what happens in Disney World during a hurricane, check out these links:
