Character dining in Disney World is a unique way to combine meet-and-greets with delicious food.
There are many places you can currently find character dining in Disney World, including Topolino’s Terrace, Chef Mickey’s, Garden Grill, and plenty more — and one restaurant just brought back characters!
Characters are BACK at Cape May Cafe in Disney’s Beach Club Resort! Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast has officially returned to the morning buffet, featuring Minnie and her pals in their beach destination costumes.
Let’s go over our experience!
Atmosphere
The breakfast buffet runs from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. We got to the restaurant for our reservation and checked in on the My Disney Experience app!

Buffet
The morning buffet includes Mickey and Minnie Waffles as well as Cape May’s famous Salted Caramel “Beach Buns“…
…and it’s all-you-can-eat for $45 per adult and $29 per child. With the addition of characters comes a price increase — adults used to cost $25 and children used to cost $14.
Here is a look at the specialty drinks with and without alcohol.
There are also cheddar biscuits and gravy, an omelet station, a carving station, fresh fruit, and more!

Characters
When we sat down, we received a character autograph card! The front had all of the characters on it…
…while the back had the autographs of the characters in the restaurant.
As for the characters, we saw them stop by each table throughout our meal. We were so excited to see Minnie all dolled up for the beach!
We also saw Goofy wearing his swim trunks and beach wear.
Donald was there saying “hi” to guests!
It wouldn’t be a beach party without Daisy, right?
If you want to go to Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast, we recommend making a dining reservation. While we were there, we noticed the walk-up waitlist was full — this is a popular meal you don’t want to miss out on and a reservation guarantees that!

I love Cape May character breakfast. I have been several times and always have a great time. Once Minnie even gave us her email address. I was in WDW last year and would have gone had they had the characters. I am now looking forward to my next trip.
I have my reservation for my trip in November/December. I went last year without the characters, and thought the food was great.
