UPDATE: According to Eric Burris from WESH 2 News, Ian has since strengthened to a hurricane over the Atlantic.
Yesterday, Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida and began making its way north into the rest of the state.

The storm had already warranted a state of emergency issued by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Orlando International Airport has been shut down and theme parks have closed. As Ian makes its way into the rest of Florida this morning, it has been downgraded to a tropical storm.
After Ian made landfall as a hurricane, it had winds up to 150 mph. Now, according to WESH, the hurricane has been downgraded to a tropical storm by the National Hurricane Center, with recorded winds of around 65 mph as it makes its way across Central Florida, including Orlando.
