We’ve had a lot of big Disney announcements recently.

This year’s D23 Expo brought lots of new trailers, movie and tv news, park expansion announcements, and so much more. But it seems Disney isn’t done surprising us. It’s just been announced that a feature film will be created around one of our favorite EPCOT characters — Figment!

According to Deadline, Figment is getting a feature treatment by Seth Rogen, Dan Hernandez, and Benji Samit. Rogan’s company Point Grey is heading the film while Hernandez and Samit are set to write it together.

This isn’t Figment’s first time on the big screen, contrary to popular belief. He made a cameo in 2015’s Inside Out and 2019’s Toy Story 4 (now you want to go back and find him, right?).

We love Figment over here!

As of right now, no other information is available about this upcoming film, but we’ll keep you updated! In the meantime, you can look forward to seeing Avatar back in theaters again, some OG High School Musical stars returning to the fourth season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and a dark documentary about the history of Disney Parks coming soon. 1. When Disney elevated Figment at EPCOT rather than replace his attraction with a something tied to a Disney movie, I predicted that a Figment movie was planned. Sadly, even EPCOT is becoming an advertisement for Disney movies. The parks are losing their individual identities.
