Flood Advisory in Effect for Parts of Disney World

If you’re headed to Disney World, one of the most unpredictable aspects you need to prepare for is the weather.

We’ve seen flood advisories, airport delays, and even a funnel cloud in the areas around the parks — and that’s just recently! And if you’re in Disney World right now, there is a weather advisory currently in effect.

According to News 6 WKMG, a flood advisory is in effect for Orange County, Florida, which is where parts of Disney World are located.

The flood advisory states that “flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.” Currently the flood advisory is in effect through 5:15PM EST.

WESH2 notes that there could be minor flooding in low-lying areas and areas with poor drainage.

Rain is certainly not uncommon in Disney World, especially right now as hurricane season is still going onTo better prepare, we always recommend that you check the weather forecast ahead of your trip or your day in the parks, and pack accordingly.

Additionally, if you’re in the parks, be aware of the expected weather as certain rides will close due to weather concerns.
