The BEST Character Dining at Disney World

Character dining is a must-do for many Disney guests (ourselves included).

Minnie at Topolino’s

The return of traditional character meet-and-greets brought a much-slower return of character dining with it. And while some locations haven’t returned quite yet, we’ve been enjoying the chance to dine once again with some of our favorite characters. But which character dining experience is the best?

We took to Facebook to ask our readers, “What would you say is the best character dining experience in Disney World?” Here’s what they said:

Garden Grill

You guys reaaaaally enjoy this location, and it’s not hard to see why. Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast allows guests to eat farm-fresh food while hanging out with Chip, Dale, and their other pals. Most of our readers shared how amazing the character interactions are here.

One reader even went as far as to say, “you can’t beat the Garden Grill for interaction with the characters.” Another commenter confirmed by sharing that “Dale spent at least ten minutes with us acting out the characters in my daughter’s encyclopedia she brought for signatures. One of our best memories of our trip!” We always have fun with the characters here, too!

Food Fight: Garden Grill vs. Tusker House

Tusker House

African-inspired food and safari friends? Again, we’re not surprised to see this was another favorite of our readers. Donald’s the host of this safari-themed character dining experience and he’s accompanied by his friends!

There’s Daisy!

Your main reason for choosing this location? The safari outfits! One reader agreed and said, “Daisy in that safari outfit is perfection.” Honestly, we agree.

Topolino’s Terrace

Breakfast a la Art with Mickey and Friends also got a ton of love! This location is tucked inside Disney’s Riviera Resort and is a great place to start your morning!

The view and ambiance were a huge plus for a lot of our readers. Oh — and the outfits! One reader even shared that they’re going to try the location “just to see their outfits up close!”

1900 Park Fare – Temporarily Unavailable

You guys must reeeeaaaaally enjoy this dining location to choose it even when it’s unavailable! But with characters like Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland during breakfast and Cinderella and Prince Charming during dinner, can we even act surprised?!

This location is at Disney’s Grand Floridian and offers the opportunity to enjoy a meal while meeting unique and classic characters. And it’s not just the classic characters our readers enjoy, as one reader specifically mentioned how “fabulous” it was to meet Lady Tremaine and the Step-Sisters. And they weren’t alone — several comments shared stories about Lady Tremaine. (Maybe she’s not so bad after all?)
