Pumpkin Wreaths Are BACK in Magic Kingdom, But Not The Ones You Might Expect

IT IS TIME.

City Hall in Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is coming back, Halloween pumpkins have arrived in Magic Kingdom, and more decorations have been popping up overnight throughout the park. Today, we made our way through Magic Kingdom and found that an iconic part of the Halloween decorations has returned!

Halloween wreaths have popped up in Magic Kingdom…but not the ones you might expect! The Mickey Mouse Halloween wreaths are an iconic part of Magic Kingdom’s decorations. In 2021, we got to see some Mickey wreaths, but those were later REMOVED inside the park and replaced by wreaths with Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage. The new decorations were part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.

This year, it seems the pumpkin carriages are what have made a reappearance (so far). That makes sense because Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations are still ongoing. In fact, the party is going to last through the spring of 2023!

Cinderella’s Carriage Pumpkins

When we walked through Magic Kingdom today, we spotted these wreaths lining the Main Street, U.S.A. area, at the entrance to the park, and near the Hub, but there were NO Mickey pumpkin wreaths in sight.

There they are!

What do you think of these wreaths? Are they a good replacement for the Mickey pumpkin wreaths in your opinion? Or would you prefer to see the Mickey ones? Although we love the classic Mickey pumpkins, we also think that using Cinderella’s carriage is a cute nod to the movie.

Happy Halloween!

At this point, it’s unclear if the Mickey pumpkin wreaths will make an appearance this year inside the park. Thus far, all we’ve seen are these carriage wreaths, but things are subject to change throughout the Halloween season — just as they changed last year. The Mickey pumpkins may return next year, once the 50th Anniversary celebrations conclude.

  1. The wreaths look very nice, but I definitely prefer the Mickey figure over the carriage. Love to look at all the seasons there at Disneyworld. Can’t wait to experience them all! My hubby and I have only been there in the fall.
