Why You Should Visit Disney World on Weekdays (Instead of the Weekend)

Wait times can be so different from day to day in Disney World!

Although wait times decreased a bit in early July, long wait times seem to be back, and we even saw one Disney World wait time as long as 5 HOURS recently (it was Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios). There ARE ways to save time on lines in Disney World — and here’s what we saw in the parks on July 25th!

If you’re seeing that 5-hour wait time and thinking NOPE —  you’re not alone, and you have options. You can choose to purchase Disney Genie+, and in the case of Rise of the Resistance, you can also purchase an Individual Lightning Lane to bypass that very long standby line.

If you don’t want to pay for these options, you can always opt to keep an eye on ride wait times in the My Disney Experience app and use the free version of Disney Genie to help plan out your day. But let’s see what the wait times were like yesterday!

Note that these wait times are from Monday, July 25th, 2022, and many of them decreased quite a bit from the weekend. If you’re hoping to catch lower standby lines, it’s not a bad idea to stick to visiting on weekdays rather than weekends.
