Deciding which Disney World Resort hotel you’ll stay in can be difficult. There are so many factors to consider — price, perks, proximity to the parks, transportation, food options, atmosphere, and way more.

And, with there being a vast amount of unique options to choose from, it can be hard to settle on only one hotel for your visit. But, for fun, we’ll raise the stakes! You’re no longer planning where you’ll stay for your next trip — you’re planning where you’ll stay for the rest of your life. What do you choose?!
We took to Facebook to ask our readers, “If you could only stay in one WDW hotel for the rest of your life which one would it be?” We got 667 responses, and here’s what you said!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
The Polynesian is a deluxe resort which celebrates the South Pacific with palms, lush greenery, and fantastic, immersive theming! This hotel has some popular dining locations, like ‘Ohana and Trader Sam’s.

Transportation options include the Monorail, Watercrafts, and Buses. And, for fun, guests can partake in a campfire and roast marshmallows — YUM!

This hotel received the most votes (by far), with one reader commenting, “I love the theme, the resort vibe and the dining options and the fireworks view. I’d never have to leave.” Another summed it up perfectly with, “there’s just something special about the Poly.”

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
This deluxe resort hotel is inspired by the majestic National Parks and wilderness in the Northwest. And what doesn’t this location have? There’s nature trails, forests, rocking chairs, creeks, and much more!

For dining, guests can eat at locations like Whispering Canyon Café, or Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. For transportation, guests can hop on a Watercraft or Bus.

For fun, guests can also roast marshmallows by a fire, go fishing, or jog on the trails! We can definitely understand why you’d want to stay here all the time.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
This is another deluxe resort that’s a favorite among our readers. To continue the spirit of the Animal Kingdom, this hotel celebrates the heart of Africa, with savannas that house actual wildlife!

To grab a bite, guests have many options to choose from, like Boma — Flavors of Africa, Jiko — The Cooking Place, Sanaa, and more. And, to get over to the parks, you can hop on a Bus.

Most of our readers specified that they’d want to stay in a room with a savanna view. One reader even said, “Bring on the giraffes!!!”

Disney’s Grand Floridian
This deluxe resort hotel balances Victorian sophistication with modern elegance. There’s just one stop to Magic Kingdom on the monorail, which is also a huge plus. Or, if you’re in the mood to walk, there’s a walking path to Magic Kingdom.

There are also great dining options here, like Enchanted Rose, Narcoossee’s, and Citricos.

This hotel is also known for the Grand Floridian Spa! The Grand Floridian offers so much relaxation and fun, so it makes sense that many of you voted for it.

Which hotel would you stay in for the rest of your life? Let us know in the comments!
Of all the DVC resorts , and I’ve stayed a all top resorts, the Polynesian is the absolute bottom of my list!
All I ever heard was how absolutely fantastic the Poly was and it was the biggest disappointment I’ve ever experienced at WDW! It’s has a small main area compared to most and was not impressed with restaurants at all. The Tonga toast was one of the biggest disappointments of all. There are so many other resorts that surpass it!
My top 2 would be Boardwalk and Wilderness Lodge. Boardwalk is so convenient to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It is relaxing to walk the Boardwalk.
I’m sure I will get slammed for this, but I’m tired of hearing how great the Poly is! And the elevators are ancient!
I’m sorry to see that none of the EPCOT area resorts are listed. I especially like the Boardwalk Inn. All the rooms are connected to the main lobby, loads of dining options and walking distance to TWO parks. What more could you want!
We LOVED Disney’s Art of Animation when we were diwn there beginning of June — lots of pools, activities for the kids, movies at the main pool, and the Skyline transportation to Epcot & Hollywood Studios is WAY better than taking buses.
I agree that the Poly would not be on my most favorite list. Boardwalk and Beach Club are great fun and ideally located to two parks. Grand Floridian is too “fussy” Animal Kingdom too far. Wilderness is nice but too remote. The lake side rooms at the Contemporary are lovely, but I wouldn’t want to stay in the tower rooms. Haven’t stayed at the Riviera so I can’t comment but the location is good. So I guess the Deluxe Resort I could stay at forever would be the two bedroom villa at the Boardwalk and the Moderate Resort I could stay at forever would be, hands down, Port Orleans French Quarter.
