Heading to Disney World this summer? Be prepared for some long lines!

With summer one of the busier times of year for Disney World, wait times get long for some of the most popular rides and attractions. This is exacerbated by temporary ride closures, which are common in the summertime thanks to afternoon thunderstorms. With lightning in the area,  outdoor rides (like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Test Track, or Slinky Dog Dash) are forced to close until the storm moves on, resulting in increased wait times for rides that are indoors. Temporary ride closures can also happen due to ride malfunctions or scheduled maintenance, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the wait times and closures in My Disney Experience throughout your day. Disney World saw some temporary ride closures yesterday, so let’s take a look at the wait times for June 11th!
