There are character meet-and-greets, merchandise, attractions, and even a huge celebration for the day that’s designated for fans of the franchiseStar Wars Day. And, while we’ve seen some pretty awesome collectibles in the parks, fans who are looking for something a bit more realistic have to turn to other spots. For example, we’ve seen a life-sized Baby Yoda replica sold on the internet for OVER $3,000 and now there’s something even MORE expensive for sale!

Recently, Propstore auctioned off an X-Wing Fighter model used in Star Wars: A New Hope — pretty awesome, right? Well, it sold for $2.3 MILLION (!!!).

According to Hollywood Reporter, it was expected to go for $500,000 to $1 million, but the final price ended up being much, much higher. Most of the models from the film were destroyed in the final Death Star battle sequence, which is why this item is so rare.
