I use the Countdown app on my iPhone ( I believe it is available for Android as week)
It is free but if you want to since it to all your devices via iCloud I thin it is about $3.
You can then make a widget for your home screen and watch the day’s countdown!
The app allows for multiple countdown clocks on one widget the you can customize.
