NEWS: Pixar Releases Title & Details for a NEW Movie, ‘Elemental’

Since the pandemic, Disney has released several BIG movies!

We got Pixar’s Luca, Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Disney’s Encanto, just to name a few. But they’re not stopping anytime soon! Recently we got more details on a new Pixar film coming next year.

Pixar was set to release a new movie in the summer of 2023, but today they announced new information about this mysterious film! It’s coming to theaters on June 16th, 2023, and it’ll be called Elemental.

Elemental is directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Denise Ream, and will follow the journeys of Ember and Wade, an “unlikely pair,” in a city where earth, water, fire, and air elements all live together. Here, the two main characters will discover that they have more in common than they thought.

Elemental is inspired by Sohn’s childhood growing up in New York. Sohn shared, “My parents emigrated from Korea in the early 1970s and built a bustling grocery store in the Bronx…We were among many families who ventured to a new land with hopes and dreams—all of us mixing into one big salad bowl of cultures, languages and beautiful little neighborhoods. That’s what led me to ‘Elemental.’”

Sohn continued, “Our story is based on the classic elements — fire, water, land, and air. Some elements mix with each other, and some don’t. What if these elements were alive?”

In a city where fire, water, land, & air residents live together, a fiery young woman & a go-with-the-flow guy will discover something elemental: How much they have in common.
