Disney introduced its paid FastPass system, Disney Genie+, in the fall of last year, but it’s already had several changes made to it.

The attractions included in regular Genie+ and the pay-per-ride options has changed a few times, the prices have changed on individual rides, and Lightning Lanes have even been added to some experiences. But now, a Lightning Lane has been taken away on Genie+ in Disney World.
Lightning Lanes are not longer available for the meet and greets at Red Carpet Dreams in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

You can meet Mickey and Minnie over here, and before now, there was a Lightning Lane option to skip the line to meet them. In fact, they’ve only had Lightning Lane available at Red Carpet Dreams since March of this year.

Other characters in Disney World have the Lightning Lane option, like Mickey Mouse and the princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall in in Magic Kingdom.

Here is a look at all of the current Lightning Lanes in Hollywood Studios:

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the Lightning Lanes in Disney World, so stay tuned to All Ears for more.

Would you use a Lightning Lane to meet a character? Tell us in the comments!
We were planning specifically to use lightening lane to meet sorcerer Mickey so I’m quite disappointed at this development.
