Disney Channel original movies are something kids now, and adults who were kids twenty years ago can relate to loving. From Disney’s first DCOM Tiger Town to the absolute hit High School Musical (which now has a spin off series on Disney+!), and now with films like the ZOMBIES franchise becoming a favorite among kids and tweens, Disney Channel movies are something many Disney fans have fond memories of.

Back in 2015, Disney released Descendants, a film franchise that would become a favorite of many around the world. It was followed by a sequel and third film in 2017 and 2019 respectively, and now it looks like we’re getting a fourth!
Deadline has just shared the announcement that a fourth Descendants film, has been greenlit by Disney and is set to film in the fall.

With a current working title of The Pocketwatch, the film will return to Auradon and the Isle of the Lost, but also take audiences down the rabbit hole to the “hostile unincorporated territory” of Wonderland.

The film’s main characters will be Red, the “whip-smart and rebellious teenage daughter of the Queen of Hearts,” and Chloe, the “perfectionistic and athletic” daughter of Prince Charming and Cinderella. The girls will join forces to travel back in time using the White Rabbit’s pocket watch to stop an event that would lead to an impending coup in Auradon.

The film will be directed by Jennifer Phang and is written by Dan Frey and Russell Sommer. It has not been reported if any of the stars of the original trilogy will be returning to this new film, but stay tuned to AllEars, and we’ll let you know as soon as we hear more news on this exciting new film!
