There are a lot of new technologies coming to the Disney parks including the new, interactive MagicBand+.

But the newness isn’t just in the parks, it’s also coming to your hotel room! We’ve got a sneak peek at the new Hey Disney! virtual assistant coming to Disney World hotel rooms!
At a media event today, Disney demoed the Hey Disney! voice assistant feature for Amazon Alexa. The service will be complimentary for guests of Disney World hotels this year.

The preview of Hey Disney! shows the service telling us a Mickey Mouse joke.

We were told this would be in our room in March 2022. It wasn’t. Wish it was, because if you have a question and call your hotel, you get the regular switchboard you would get if you were at home with an hour long wait. We called our resort from a theme park to see how late the pool was open and never got the answer over the phone. Live chat on Genie responds an hour later.
