From the upcoming release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, to the studio’s newest Disney+ original Moon Knight, to a new trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, to STILL recovering from Spider-Man: No Way Home — being a Marvel Cinematic Universe fan can feel like a full-time job lately.
Luckily, we’ve got you covered, bringing you all of the latest Marvel news so you don’t get lost in their ever-expanding multiverse and we’ve got an UPDATE on TWO upcoming movies!
Marvel has a very busy year planned for 2023, and according to Variety, some things have shifted in their release schedule. The third installment in the Ant-Man series, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and the sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel, The Marvels, are both set to release next year, but their premieres have CHANGED!
The Marvels was set to release on February 17th, 2023, and Quantumania would come out a few months later on July 28th, 2023, but these are now switched. We can now expect to see Ant-Man return in February of 2023, and The Marvels won’t debut until July.
Marvel has said that the switch is simply because Quantumania was further along in production than The Marvels.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 is also set to premiere in 2023, and its release date of May 5th has not changed.
If you’re not familiar, The Marvels is a sequel to Captain Marvel and will see Brie Larson return as the character from the 2019 blockbuster. It will also feature Kamala Khan from Ms. Marvel a Disney+ original series that will premiere this summer.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will see Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily, Michelle Pfieffer, and Michael Douglas return to the MCU, and will also feature Jonathan Majors as the Kang the Conqueror variant we saw at the end of 2021’s Loki.
If we’ve learned one thing about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s that it’s unpredictable, and with so many films and series exploring the multiverse, it’s hard to know what to expect from upcoming Marvel projects. Stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Marvel updates!
