PHOTOS: Distancing REMOVED From Popular Disney World Show

It might be a “tale as old as time,” but when Beauty and the Beast — Live On Stage reopened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there were some HUGE changes from the original show.

Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage

One of those changes was that performers could not touch each other during the show — which might have felt a little off for fans of the classic love story. However, when we saw the show today, we noticed that something has changed again!

Since reopening back in 2021, the performers at Beauty and the Beast — Live On Stage have been keeping some distance between each other during much of the show. So, instead of dancing hand-in-hand, they danced apart.

But, when we stopped by to watch the show today, we noticed that Belle and the Beast (aka the Prince) were performing closer to each other and touching again!

They’re close again!

We saw them holding hands and dancing together like the characters used to before Disney World’s closure.

We also noticed that this was happening with all the performers when the show called for it. There was touching and hand-holding throughout the performance, though the iconic kissing scene at the end is still missing.

Touching again

We spoke with a Cast Member, who confirmed that this is a change reintroduced just recently — just another way that Disney World shows are beginning to return to normal!

We also recently learned that the Tumble Monkeys and aerialist dancers would return to the modified Festival of the Lion King show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, too. So, it seems that we’ll be seeing more of these changes throughout the parks in the coming months. Of course, we’ll keep you updated on it all, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
