One golf course at Disney World is about to shut down indefinitely for a huge refurbishment.

Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course is not just a championship course, but also the longest course at Disney World — it’s even certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary. The golf course’s 97 bunkers got an upgrade in 2015, and now the course is set to shut down once again for what Disney is calling a “major renovation project.”

According to golfwdw.com, during the dates of April 28th through May 8th, only the first nine holes will be available to guests who visit the course. Then on May 9th, the course will shut down indefinitely for a refurbishment.

Disney encourages guests to consider playing golf at either Disney’s Palm or Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course instead. Guests who wish to book tee times at either course can do so on the Walt Disney World Golf Courses website or by calling (407) WDW-GOLF

The refurbishment is estimated to be completed by the end of the year but we’ll keep an eye out for updates and a reopening date. And, in the meantime, stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney news!
