We’re almost a month away from the launch of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!
We’ve been given so many teasers, like cast member costumes, ride vehicles, and loading areas. And now, Disney Imagineer, Zach Riddley has ANOTHER sneak peek for us that all park guests can see for themselves BEFORE the attraction officially opens!
Zach Riddley took to Instagram today to announce that Disney will debut the exterior lighting design for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind TONIGHT!
Now, before we get into lighting design details, let’s take a look at Disney Park’s Instagram video showing the lighting in action!
It looks so good! The lighting design will continue to reinforce “the layering of space and scale” that was focused on when the exterior architecture, finishes, and color palette were developed.
Riddley also shared that the lighting design “supports the Nova Corps Starblaster in the front courtyard as the iconic centerpiece of the design,” and “its programming is intended to allow the Xandarians to play along in the vibrant skyline.”
We recently headed over to to EPCOT to see this lighting for ourselves and we were not disappointed.
The lighting plays with a lot of blues and purples to create a look that feels distinctly futuristic and space-themed, plus it just looks cool!
We recently saw the construction walls that once surrounded the Wonders of Xandar pavilion go down, so park-goers should be able to get a pretty good look at the lighting when they pass by at night! Of course, we’ll be on the lookout for more information about the new roller coaster leading up to its debut, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
