NEWS: Shanghai Disney UPDATES COVID-19 Testing Requirements and More

Shanghai Disney Resort was the first Disney park worldwide to reopen following the closures that took place back in 2020 with adjustments to health and safety measures.

These COVID-19 policies have included requiring that all guests wear a face mask and maintain social distance. And, after temporarily closing in October, Shanghai Disney Resort is now operating once again — though there have been some new updates that you’ll need to know about if you’re visiting soon.

According to Shanghai Disney Resort’s website, the park is now operating under a “controlled capacity” with “the majority of Shanghai Disneyland’s attractions and shows…[operating] at reduced capacity” and all theatre shows temporarily suspended.

Additionally, beginning today, March 13th, 2022, all guests will be required to show proof of a negative Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) taken within 24 hours of entering the resort.

These updates are pretty different from what we’ve seen at the U.S. Disney parks, where mask mandates were lifted, and Disneyland Paris which recently updated their policy to no longer require a Vaccine pass for entry.
