Today has been full of exciting Disney news, but we’re not done yet!

We’ve already seen a first look at the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster, which is opening this summer in EPCOT. But now we have even more details about this upcoming attraction for you!
Before you get too excited — No, we do not have the official opening date for the Cosmic Rewind roller coaster. Hopefully Disney will announce that soon! But we DO have more photos from inside the attraction, which were shared by Imagineer Zach Riddley on his Instagram account.

The photos show more details in the loading station, where guests will board the ride vehicles and take off on their journey into space. Riddley shared that the Imagineers include themed details in “all the various functional items” of the ride in order to better tell the story of the attraction.

In the pictures, you can see “angular designs, striking use of colors, and materials” that make up the Nova Corps facility (which is the setting for the ride’s story).

The star symbol is an especially important feature of this area, since it symbolizes the organization of Nova Corps.

Riddley also highlighted the stainless steel materials and sleek design of the barriers, which are meant to communicate an industrial feel in the facility.

And earlier today, we took a look at some of the construction progress happening outside this attraction on the entrance area.

There were some more plants around the Xandarian Starship, and that giant ship also has been updated with details that make it look a little battle-worn.

We can’t wait to ride this coaster when it opens sometime this summer! Stay tuned with AllEars for more of the latest Disney news.
