The series’ were originally part of a contract preventing any streaming service other than Netflix from picking up the shows for a certain amount of time. But — that time has run out, and Disney+ will be adding the shows to their already powerhouse lineup of Marvel content. And now, we know just how they plan on handling the content featured in these shows which may not be suitable for younger viewers.

Beginning on March 16th, 2022, Disney+ subscribers in select regions will be able to stream former Netflix shows Iron Fist, The Punisher, The Defenders, Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones!

But, due to the more mature nature of these Marvel shows, Disney+ will be releasing an update to parental controls that allow users to set content restrictions for each profile.

With this new update, subscribers can set parental controls for each user on their account.

After the settings have been updated, users will be able to lock the changes using a PIN so that the controls can’t be circumvented.

It’s important to note that if you don’t change your settings, Disney+ will continue to limit the content on your profile to TV-14 rated shows and movies only — meaning you won’t be able to view the new-to-Disney+ Marvel shows!
