One of Magic Kingdom’s famous mountains has returned!
Disney World attractions close throughout the year for routine maintenance, and while we’re always sad to see the rides close, it’s usually only for a few days. On February 14th, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed at the Magic Kingdom, and it’s finally back!
Big Thunder has returned to the Magic Kingdom! While we appreciate the games that were set up in the area in the attraction’s absence, we’re happy to see the wildest ride in the wilderness up and running again.
When we checked, the ride already had a 65-minute wait time.
As you can see, things are busy at Magic Kingdom today, especially in Frontierland! We expect wait times for Big Thunder Mountain to go up as the day progresses.
While another Disney mountain, Splash Mountain, recently reopened after refurbishment, Animal Kingdom’s mountain, Expedition Everest is still closed for maintenance.
