If you haven’t been to the Orlando theme parks in a few years, there have been some major changes!

With the pandemic, we’ve seen a bunch of health and safety changes in the theme parks, from temperature screenings to social distancing to mask mandates. Some of those measures have already disappeared or otherwise changed, and today, Universal Orlando has announced another big change.
At Universal Orlando Resort, social distancing was changed and temperature screenings were done away with back in 2021, and for a short while, the mask mandate had been relaxed as well. Then as the situation with COVID-19 and Omicron changed, the resort started requiring face coverings indoors again. But today, they announced that they’re changing the policy yet again.

According to Click Orlando, guests who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will not be required to wear face coverings (indoors or outdoors) at Universal Orlando starting on February 12th.
Click Orlando shares that “those visiting the parks who are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear face coverings while walking in indoor spaces.”

Also beginning on Saturday, Universal Orlando team members who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will not be required to wear a mask while onstage, backstage, indoors or outdoors. Team members who are unvaccinated, however, will continue to be required to wear a mask “at all times while on property.”
The Universal Orlando website has been updated to reflect this rule. It also notes that they will not require proof of vaccination.

Keep in mind that guests must confirm certain things before visiting, including that they do not feel sick or have any flu-like symptoms.

If you’ll be visiting Universal Orlando soon, keep these updated rules in mind.
