And it looks like Sony is about to expand its Spider-Man universe — the company is in the process of developing a new Spider-Man spin-off film starring Dakota Johnson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Johnson is in talks with Sony to play the lead in Madame Web, based on the Marvel character of the same name. The movie will be directed by S.J. Clarkson and written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, who also wrote the upcoming Morbius film, which is also a Spider-Man spin-off.

In the comics, Madame Web is a clairvoyant mutant who first appeared in  The Amazing Spider-Man #210, published in 1980. She is known for predicting the futures of heroes with spider powers and was even a mentor to Peter Parker in Marvel Comics, as well as to the various iterations of Spider-Woman.
