Disney Legend Betty White Inspires Challenge That Raises Over $12 Million

It has been nearly one month since we sadly said goodbye to long-time Disney Legend, Betty White.

Recently, fans of the late actress have come together to honor her legacy in a way we think Betty would have appreciated!

Betty White was well known for being an avid animal welfare advocate. Passing away on December 31st, 2021 — just shy of her 100th birthday — the internet showed up to give her one final birthday present!

Over $12.7 million has been raised on Facebook and Instagram in support of the #BettyWhiteChallenge, raising money for animal rescues and shelters. According to Variety, over 390,000 people have donated to various fundraisers that have pledged their funds to the cause.
