How Your Ride to Disneyland is Getting an UPGRADE

When planning a trip to Disneyland, getting there can be half the battle.

Disneyland

Unlike Walt Disney World in Orlando, the area surrounding the park isn’t owned by Disney, so Anaheim can get pretty congested with all of the hotels, restaurants, and gift shops that have popped up over the years to cater to Disneyland guests. Thankfully, there are several transportation options around Disneyland, and one of them is about to get more sustainable!

Sage Energy Consulting has announced that they will be partnering with the Anaheim Transportation Network to develop battery-electric buses that will be charged with solar power, and they will have a route that stops at Disneyland Resort!

This move towards electric-powered buses is part of a “multi-stage plan to reduce…greenhouse gas emissions” and it provides additional cost-cutting measures through the use of charging locations that are solar-powered.

And, while solar-powered energy solutions can be less reliable, these bus charging stations are being equipped with battery backup systems so that travelers can always rely on them.

Anaheim’s Transportation Network’s goal is to have 100% of its fleet electric by 2025, so you could be riding in one of these new buses to Disneyland Resort in the near future! Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for additional updates, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
